The walk was a couple hours longer today. I was informed by two people it was a must to stop and stay at the local monestary in this town. As a result, I walked 7 hours to make it there for what was a great nights stay.
Heading out of town, I had a coffee and croissant. It was a cool, dry day.
I started seeing Bodegas all over. I thought, is the a home like abode? No, it appears to be a winery. Some appear large and others small. One small Bodega had some interesting yard art and a trailer full of old vine. wine growing fascinates me.
Also very interesting are the aqueducts that can be found throughout the region.
The town if Ciruena is often commented on by many pilgrims. It’s a golf community that appears not to have gotten off the ground. It’s largely abandoned. However the clubhouse was open for a snack. Maybe this can be a place for some American friends to invest?
Another observation are the way they stack hay in such big piles. These piles are about 20’ high by 100’ feet long. Make sure to check the monestary at the end of the clip.
