Camino Day 30 – Foncebadon

After a late arrival the prior evening, Colleen and I started out the morning at a leisurely pace.  We had breakfast before leaving the hotel.

We snapped a couple pictures of the square on the way out of town.

The pilgrim traffic is picking up with the turn of the calendar to April. The albergues and bars are now beginning to open up. We stop for our first cup of coffee and get Colleen’s first stamp in her credential.

The day was sunny and we got a shot of the 250 kilometer marker to establish an early distance marker.

Later on we stopped at an albergue for a  bocadillo and cerveza. We ducked out of a short sleeting rain on an otherwise sunny day.

We found a donativo albergue in which to rest. Our host was Jorge. He was eager to please providing a little heat before bed and instruction as to where to find a meal.

We stopped at a bar for some vino tinto before ordering pizza at a small restaurant run by a young Italian.  The price was a bit steep but the pizza was delicious.

Getting fast asleep for a good nights rest as the next day was going to be equally stellar.
