The road to Viana was quiet today. I woke up later than usual an rushed to get dressed and packed and out the door by 8 am. I was one of the last few to leave. As a result, I had the 3.5 hour, 10 mile walk pretty much to myself.
i prayed the rosary in my head and walked on in quiet comfort. The air was cool and dry most of the way.
With only two eyes, I watched the trail more keenly to make sure I did not get off course. Only once was I called back to the correct path by a local.
There were many unique rock formations along the way. Included were small rock shelters for pilgrims to seek refuge. Others included the balanced rock farm.
The day ended with laundry and a bite to eat at a local bar. Unfortunately, the washing machine handle broke trapping most of my clothes inside. You might find a picture of what I did have left to wander looking for a dinner meal while the washing machine could be fixed. I did get my clothes out, dried and packed. Another Camino minor miracle.
Off to bed before taking on another leg along the Camino in the morning.
